Full-Time Residence Hall Coordinator

Location: Baker College of Owosso
Compensation: Salary based on education, experience, and existing wage rates for similar positions within Baker College. Room, and Full benefit package.
Start Date: September 4, 2018

Reports To: Coordinator of Student Life
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position also requires some nights, and weekend responsibilities.

The Residence Hall Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the administration of the residence hall, including the implementation of programs which facilitate the educational, personal, and social growth and development of all resident students. Also, to cosupervise all Resident Assistants, and to communicate day-to-day safety and facility concerns to appropriate campus administrators.


  • Bachelor Degree required
  • Current Valid Driver's License required
  • First Aid & CPR Certified, or must possess certification within one calendar year, required
  • Previous residence hall experience required
  • Experience in Student Affairs preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, and the Internet
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and maneuver independently up to 50 lbs. required

  • Oversee the operation of the residence hall
  • Supervise Resident Assistants in the hall
  • Facilitate, develop, and assist with programs in the residence halls
  • Enforce and support all hall/College guidelines
  • Provide leadership for staff and students
  • Participate in and help facilitate residence hall operations
  • Oversee emergency/crisis situations in a professional/calm manner
  • Serve as a liaison between residence halls and College administration
  • Other duties as assigned
