Energy Engineer (Engineer/Associate Engineer II)
This position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology and one (1) year entry - level engineering work experience. Candidate must have knowledge of engineering theory, principles and practices applicable to the maintenance, repair and construction of facilities as related to HVAC, and utilities and energy management systems. Ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, in both oral and written formats, with staff, contractors and professionals at all levels. Responsibilities include: conducting data gathering studies; preparing budgets and reports for areas of responsibility; overseeing daily operations of HVAC and energy management systems contractors; scheduling and updating operation of HVAC systems utilizing computer programs; and monitoring and reporting on utility consumption on multiple campuses. Candidate must be available as needed with weekend "on call" on a rotating basis and must be available as essential personnel to assist before, during, and after severe weather and other emergencies to include after hours and weekends. Typical work schedule is M-F, 8-5, will rotate weekend on-call with facilities staff and must be available as essential personnel to assist before, during and after severe weather and other emergencies to include after hours and weekends. Salary is commensurate with education and experience based on a SC band 6, with a salary range of $39,960-$73,935. This position is open until filled. (HD65/0001/109072, opened 08/12/18)
