Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Location: New Orleans, LA

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking applications for a faculty position at the rank of Associate/Full Professor. The Department seeks outstanding investigators employing a combination of biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics and animal models to investigate basic mechanisms contributing to human health and disease. Attention will be paid particularly to applicants whose areas of research with emphasis on mechanisms of renal function and kidney disease complement and strengthen existing research areas within the Department and the wider School of Medicine.

Successful applicants are expected to have and continue to develop a strong, extramurally-funded research program. Responsibilities will include supervising and mentoring students and postdoctoral fellows and contributing to the educational mission of the university. Successful applicants will establish productive collaborations with members of the Department, Tulane University and the New Orleans research communities.
