The Department of Neurology is seeking an administrative assistant to provide support to faculty in the department to coincide with their fast-paced medical practices, academic research, and administrative activities. The incumbent will work directly with faculty for coordination of meetings, events and travel; preparation of presentations and written reports for meetings and research activities; and act as a liaison for patients and visitors. The incumbent will manage patient information inquiries, triage incoming phone calls and correspondence, and perform online literature searches. This position will also provide clinical, clerical, research and administrative support for other faculty as needed The incumbent will manage a dynamic/complex on-call schedule. The incumbent will also coordinate division related activities.
The candidate must possess superior verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and administrative abilities. Candidate must also work with great attention to detail, show initiative, and demonstrate flexibility to respond to the varying demands in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required. Proficiency in EPIC is preferred. To be competitive, applicants should have significant related experience in administrative support in a higher education or medical office setting. A Bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of 2 years of experience. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
This position is restricted and contingent upon the continuation of funding.
