Job Duties: The primary purpose of this position is to provide expertise in the daily internal office processes and procedures for the Office of Research Administration (ORA) in the Division of Research, Economic Development, and Engagement. This requires a high level of professional skill and knowledge regarding the programs, services, and policies within ORA and the division. This individual will be responsible for applying this knowledge in the performance of daily/routine duties and interpreting and explaining information to internal and external associates in a professional manner. The direction of this position's duties is guided primarily by the needs of the Director, Senior Associate Director and Compliance Monitoring Officer in ORA. These individuals rely heavily on this position for reviewing and streamlining internal processes, preparing and disseminating financial reports, and ensuring compliance through improved office procedures. This position develops, implements and maintains more efficient processes and procedures, including a paperless system, with regards to general operations, award setup, award closeout, revenue/billing, and effort reporting. This position serves as the primary party responsible for incoming checks, cash transfers and deposits. This position creates and manages the output of project management reports for the Grants & Contracts Managers (GCMs) and Grants & Contracts Administrators (GCAs). This position performs regularly scheduled data analysis to develop standardized reporting for REDE leadership and the Associate Deans for Research and responds to ad hoc requests for further data analysis. This position also develops and maintains the sub-recipient database and requests single audits from all sub-recipients.
