The FSU College of Business and the Panama City Campus of Florida State University invite applications for a Teaching Faculty position in our Accounting Program at FSU Panama City. The FSU Panama City campus hosts two undergraduate Business degree programs - one in Accounting and the other in Business Administration, which includes a combination of Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Management courses. This Accounting faculty position would include teaching courses that benefit both undergraduate programs. This is an AACSB accredited program.

This is a 9 or 12-month, full-time, specialized, non-tenure track teaching faculty position with opportunities for promotion and multi-year contracts. Primary responsibilities are a) teaching in the Accounting and Business Administration programs at FSU Panama City, b) serving as the Program Coordinator for the undergraduate Accounting Program, c) recruiting and advising students, and d) assisting with additional administrative duties in the Accounting and Business programs. The position begins in Fall of 2019 with the potential to start earlier (i.e., Spring or Summer 2019) if circumstances warrant it.


PhD or DBA in Accounting (degree must be completed by the start date of the position) and a minimum of one-year teaching experience at the university level.

Research experience is preferred and maintaining AACSB qualifications is required.

Additional preferred qualifications: Doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited institution, with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, research and service.

Preference will be given to candidates who can teach a range of courses within the discipline of Accounting and those who possess a specialization in Taxation and/or industry experience.

FSU Panama City currently houses 19 bachelor's programs and 8 master's programs and boasts a small faculty-to-student ratio, which gives students a more personalized academic experience.
