College of Law - Admissions Office
Manages the evaluation process for applicants to the College of Law's degree and non-degree programs (excluding LL.M. programs). Works closely with the Program Associate for Admissions & Travel within the Office of Admissions regarding applications to the College of Law. Responsible for managing the College of Law applicant database and University interface. Works daily within the law school admissions and university databases.
Responsible for ensuring all required documents are received for enrolling students' University records. Manages and facilitates the Optional Interview Program with College of Law alumni for Juris Doctor applicants. Creates and disseminates regular statistical reports to the Assistant Dean for Admissions and other internal and external constituencies regarding admissions data.
Advises prospective students regarding the College of Law and admissions requirements for the various programs offered through face-to-face, email, telephone, social media, and written correspondence.
Bachelor's degree and two years of data analysis - heavily concentrated using advanced Excel, database management, customer/student service or other relevant work experience, or a combination of post high school education and relevant work experience in an office setting equal to six years, is required.
Applicants must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Power BI) or similar software and standard office equipment/procedures. Must be capable of sophisticated reporting and analysis within Excel and Power BI including complex formulas, linking workbooks and worksheets, creating macros, pivot tables and creating graphical data reports. Must be capable of creating new data reports as needed.
Must be able to take direction as well as independently prioritize multiple work assignments, maintain professional office demeanor and interact with a wide variety of constituents (students, faculty, staff, alumni and others).
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, extremely well organized with competing priorities and knowledgeable in creating procedural documents or manuals, is preferred.
