The Department of Psychiatry has an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate 2. Incumbent will support the entire process of conducting research studies, including coordination of activities for our schizophrenia and thought disorders programs. The incumbent will participate in research meetings, as well as logistical meetings involving research collaborators and external agencies, subcontractors, vendors to assist investigators in developing applicable scope of work and resources to support clinical research studies. S/he will work closely with the research director, project manager, and manager for research support to implement clinical trials on site, review participant ascertainment progress across all clinical trials, and prepare invoices and collect reimbursements for study-related activities. S/he will provide support to various research programs and activities, and solve problems as they arise. Communicate regularly with several stakeholders including sponsors, investigators, and research staff to ensure implementation of the project. Ensure that the research protocol is reviewed and approved. The incumbent will assist the clinical research team in screening, enrolling, and following research participants according to study protocols. Work closely with research leadership in reviewing project enrollment progress. Support the clinical research team with various project tasks such as ordering and maintain supply inventory, organizing study documentation, and handling daily financial activities such as invoicing, reimbursements, and reconciliation. Monitor all incoming reports from sponsoring company and process as necessary. Ensure facilities and equipment meet all the requirements for the conduct of the study, including equipment maintenance and certification, sample collection, labeling, storage and shipment. Complete and submit internal documents to the central budget office and to medical finance to initiate contract and budget negotiations and subject reimbursements. Participate in contract meetings with funding agencies and subcontractors. Closely follow data management policies and procedures, and complete timely corrections of all study monitor or sponsor queries. Performs other duties as assigned.
The minimum requirements are as follows: Master's degree required. One (1) year of experience interacting with sponsors within a multifaceted clinical trials environment and administrative setting. Previous experience working
with psychiatric/psychological protocols preferred. Ability to function in multidisciplinary and cross functional teams. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal problem solving skills and be self-motivated. Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team. Any appropriate combination
of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may

Patient safety is a top priority.
