Position Summary:

Incumbent actively manages the priorities in ambulatory care and develops comprehensive plans to improve operational systems and productivity at the UC Irvine Medical Center. This position interacts with all levels of staff, clinical and operational leadership as well as senior executive leadership. Responsible for developing champions for key projects, assuring sufficient involvement by appropriate stakeholders and delivering projects on time and on budget. Utilizes project management, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, as well as internal and external best practices to accomplish organizational goals. This role will also oversee project management, help determine the most effective utilization of team members and improvement initiatives for maximum organizational impact.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $69,600.00 Maximum $124,600.00

Required Qualifications:

Ability to effectively manage ambiguity on a project.

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Able to translate complex data and information and communicate it simply and effectively to constituents.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field

Effective communicator, able to understand the needs of a variety of audience members and tailor a message accordingly.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Expert knowledge of project management methodologies, processes, tools and terminology.

Extensive experience and ability to manage complexities within a tertiary academic medical center.

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Proven ability to quickly develop credibility with relevant constituencies.

Six years' experience in administrative analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong project management skills with experience organizing and coordinating complicated initiatives at a large scale

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in business or related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience.

PMP Certification

Project management experience in a hospital or healthcare organization
