Job Description Summary:

The Department of Speech and Hearing Science is searching for a part-time Clinical Supervisor reporting to the Clinical Director. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of graduate students at the Speech and Hearing Center's clinic, an on-campus, out-patient facility as well as off-campus sites.

Responsibilities include:

• Observing and mentoring students that are providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to clients in various clinical tracks

• Evaluating student performance and clinical writings

• Providing performance feedback to students and providing input on student grades

• Meeting with clients and/or families as necessary

• Attending faculty/staff meetings

• Performs other work-related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Master's degree in Audiology, plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a doctoral degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Qualified candidates must also have a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech Hearing Association, and be licensed in DC. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Experience in any one or more of the following a plus: pediatric language and development, autism.
