Job description

Duties: Primary responsibility will include maintaining and updating a medical research database, the Integrated Neurodegenerative Disease Database (INDD). This includes web-application development in ASP.NET along with data management and database administration using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. There will also be responsibility for supervising and training database users for data entry, data querying, and quality control procedures. The candidate will also oversee and coordinate efforts in data collection, data entry, reporting, sharing, and quality control of the medical research data with external collaborators including national consortia and clinical trials. Secondary responsibility will be to manage, receive, send, review, process, and harmonize clinical, phenotype, and genotype (GWAS) primary and secondary data from collaborators and genotyping facilities. This will require independently performing statistical analyses for data quality assurance and reporting these results in oral presentations as well as preparing written reports for grants reporting. The third responsibility will be to develop novel bioinformatics tools to integrate genotype and phenotype data from large publically available databases into our local INDD database to support the research of senior FTD Center staff and faculty. The fourth responsibility is to manage and provide oversight for various IT-related projects and supervise the technical computing needs of FTD Center staff.

Qualifications: The minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 2 to 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
