Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):

High School Diploma/GED (or foreign equivalent or higher). One (1) year of full time experience directly related to laboratory research.


Preferred Qualifications:
BS (or foreign equivalent or higher) in Biology or related field. Additional years of experience directly related to laboratory research.


Brief Description of Duties/Primary Purpose:
Working under general supervision, incumbent will perform a variety of routine and semi-skilled tasks to support and directly assist a research project in the lab. The incumbent should possess outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; experience successfully working independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving; and strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail. The successful candidate will:

  • Under guidance of the Principal Investigator, perform a variety of routine and/or semi-skilled tasks to support and directly assist a research project or program, either in the laboratory or in the field.
  • Perform routine laboratory and data analyses.
  • Lab maintenance including assisting with ordering supplies and equipment to keep the lab inventory well stocked.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with environmental health and safety procedures.
  • Participate in weekly lab meetings and write data reports.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.
