Job Summary:

Academic Support Programs is looking for a tutor who can provide individual and small group tutoring to Texas A&M University Central Texas students with a focus on

  • Accounting, Business Statistics & Finance

to improve student academic achievement by clarifying learning problems, working on study skills and creating mechanisms to retain and apply the subject matter.

The tutor needs to be friendly, patient and sensitive to all students.

This is a part-time position with maximum 10 hours weekly .


$8.65-$9.65 depending on experience.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

Currently enrolled student:

(1) Must have "A" or "B" grades in the courses to be tutored,

(2) Have a faculty/instructor recommendation, and

(3) Be in good standing with the University.

Non-TAMUCT Student:

(1) Must have a bachelor's degree in related area,

(2) Have at least 2 years of academic support and /or teaching experience in subject mastery at the senior level, and

(3) Be in good standing with the University

Preferred Qualifications:

3.0 GPA (student) with Faculty recommendation or

3 to 5 Years Job Experience with supervisor recommendation (adult professional)
