Advertised Job Summary: The College of Arts and Sciences is looking for a positive and energetic person with superior communication, organizational, problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, great attention to detail, strong planning skills and the ability to interact with all levels within and outside of the College. This is a great opportunity to join the team of the Office of Human Resources in the College. As the assistant to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Administrative Assistant will also support a dynamic team by providing both routine administrative functions as well assist with special projects. Duties may include generating offer and reappointment letters, making photocopies of various documents, filing, conducting research to process, complete, and submit various HR actions, creating, updating, and maintaining various spreadsheets, etc. Will assist the Director in reviewing various human resources actions, including but not limited to, creating, updating, and/or reviewing position descriptions, reviewing and approving job requisitions, processing new hire documents, processing and submitting other HR actions to the appropriate University Offices. May perform other administrative and clerical tasks as assigned by the Chief of Staff and/or Dean for the College.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree and 4 years of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment, or high school diploma and 8 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency.
