Required Qualifications
A DDS/DMD from a CODA-Accredited dental program is required. A certificate in periodontics from a CODA-Accredited advanced specialty education program in periodontics. The selected candidate must be eligible for board certification by the American Board of Periodontology, and must have qualifications sufficient for dental licensure in New York State.

Preferred Qualifications
Strong preference will be givent o applicants who are board certified by the American Board of Periodontology, hold a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences (Oral Biology and Pathology track) and who have experience in the clinical instruction of periodontics.

Responsibilities & Requirements
The selected candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and must exhibit the highest level of ethical conduct and commitment to diversity. The selected candidate is expected to strengthen and maintain effective operational practices within the teaching, research and clinical areas of the program in alignment with the Department's mission. A robust track record of scholarly accomplishments, extramural funding and demonstrated leadership are also desirable.

Special Notes
This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
