Essential Functions of the Position:
UC is searching for a dynamic faculty member to join the newly created Department of Data Science housed in the School of Arts & Sciences to support the development of graduate and undergraduate degree and certificate programs while also promoting the integration of analytics into academic programs in the health sciences, business, the natural sciences and other disciplines.
Preferred candidates will possess experience and expertise in database technology, machine learning, data mining, artificial intelligence, or similar area. A Fall 2018 start date for the appointment is preferred.
Qualified applicants will hold the minimum of a master’s degree in computer science, statistics or related discipline (Ph.D. preferred; ABD candidates will be considered). Salary and faculty rank commensurate with experience.
