To position requires a master's degree in Communications or a closely related field or a master's degree in any field with 18 or more graduate hours in Communications. Ideal candidates will also have a master's in Communications or 18 or more graduate hours in Communications. The ability to teach both speech and introductory communication courses is preferred. Must be willing to teach online and day and/or evening courses and at off-campus locations as needed. Prior college-level teaching experience, particularly in a two-year open-access institution, is highly preferred. The ability to work effectively in a diverse environment is essential. Excellent customer service skills are essential. This position reports directly to the department head. This position reports directly to the department head. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses, delivering instructions, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance and advising students. The Speech Instructor will teach courses in both a traditional classroom setting and online. Traditional classes are conducted on all four TTC campuses and at local high schools; therefore, travel is required. Must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position is open until filled.
