Position Summary

As Academic Application Administrator, this role will be a dedicated system administrator hired to join our growing technology team. This role will work with the Assistant Director, Administrative Technology to plan, design, develop, test, and evaluate a number of applications that support business and academic operations at the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. This role will work heavily with Salesforce and be responsible for maintenance, development and implementation of account provisioning, reports and dashboard, new system integrations, workflows, upgrade releases, and all other administrator duties. Work closely with Academic and Administrative departments to streamline processes, resolve problems, implement solutions, and further improve efficiencies using a variety of other applications and systems.


Required Education:Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, System Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.Preferred Education:N/ARequired Experience:Minimum 3 years’ experience with information systems and/or databases; Experience with CRM system; Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization; Passion for emerging technologies.Preferred Experience:Salesforce Administrator and/or Developer experience Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Salesforce Certifications/Knowledge of: Administrator (Creating Users, Profiles, Roles, Custom Objects, Custom Fields, Page Layouts, Workflow Rules, Validation Rules, Reports, Dashboards, AppExchange, and Process Builder). Developer (Apex, VisualForce, ProcessBuilder, Workflows, and SOQL). CommunitiesRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design models, and instructional technology tools and applications for adult learners; specifically LMS, web conferencing, building interactive modules. Organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities; Ability to effectively collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders, and other technical resources to design and deliver new features and functionalityPreferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:N/A
