Position Summary:

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology Southern California Department Manager's role is to oversee and organize student and faculty information and processes in a way that ensures academic quality that meets or exceeds TCSPP's high standard of administrative excellence.

Principal Duties:

  • Act as first point of contact for students and staff as it relates to academics
  • Update and maintain records of current course offering for each academic department as assigned
  • Process payments for employees performing academic functions
  • Work with faculty members each semester as needed to facilitate logistics for classes
  • Maintain records for student dissertation progress and assist in any necessary adjustments
  • Create and manage courses in online teaching platform
  • Ability to travel between TCSPP's three southern California campuses


Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Problem Solving- Has the ability to adapt to various workplace scenarios with little guidance.

Organizational- Is highly organized when handling large quantities of data

Follow-up- Follow up with Adjuncts, Students, Faculty and Department Chairs as it relates to academic inquiries.

Teamwork- Works with colleagues and various operational and academic departments to answer various questions from his/her stakeholders.

Relationship Building: Participate in student and faculty relations by actively building relationships.

Position Qualifications:
  • 1+ year experience working in higher education.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university (preferably in Psychology, Business, Communications, or related field)
