Posting Information: Western Carolina University is seeking applicants for the Wesley Elingburg Distinguished Professor of Business Innovation at the level of associate or full professor to support the College of Business programs both on campus and in varied distance education formats. The person who holds the professorship will be expected to teach both graduate and undergraduate classes. The normal teaching load each semester is two courses. The successful candidate will have significant experience working with small businesses to support economic development and innovation and a research record commensurate with the appointment as a distinguished professor. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to contribute to the mission of the university and the College of Business, which seeks to prepare graduates to be Business Ready® to meet the needs of the industry and become leading professionals in their field. The mission is achieved through sound theoretical course work, research and innovative learning activities, industry engagement and service learning. Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: Ph.D., DBA or JD
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates from an AACSB granting institution. Preference will be given to candidates with substantial industry experience.
