The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream appointment in the Strategic Management area. The Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1, 2019.
Qualified applicants must have a PhD in management or a cognate discipline, with a focus on strategic management and organizations or economic sociology, by the date of appointment or soon thereafter. We have a strong preference for researchers in organizational theory and sociology. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue innovative research at the highest international level and to establish an outstanding, independent, externally funded research program. The position comes with undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities in strategic management and organizations.
Evidence of excellence in research and teaching is required. Evidence of excellence in research is demonstrated through the job market paper and other documents submitted for review, top-quality working papers, publications in top-ranked and field-relevant academic journals or a research pipeline that is at high international levels, presentations at significant conferences, awards and accolades, and strong letters of reference from referees of high standing. Evidence of excellence in teaching is demonstrated through teaching accomplishments, strong letters of reference and the teaching statement submitted as part of the application.
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
