Job Description:


TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE


The Arts Extension Service (AES) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for two available Program Coordinator positions.


AES is a partially self-sustaining program in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts whose purpose is to provide arts management and arts entrepreneurship instruction to make the arts more accessible to a greater audience throughout the United States. The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, managing and evaluating education programs and events. This position is responsible for marketing and grant writing in support of AES and will also teach a variety of arts management and entrepreneurship courses and workshops.



Requirements:


Minimum Required Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in Arts Administration, Business, or relevant discipline and at least three years of arts management experience
  • Experience in arts management teaching
  • Experience in budgeting, marketing and promoting self-sustaining programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and public relations skills
  • Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends

Preferred:


  • Experience in arts management teaching in higher education, and online/face-to-face
  • Demonstrated experience in a field of artistic practice
  • Supervisory experience

PROFESSIONAL STAFF SALARY ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM POSITION LEVEL 26


Salary Range: $41,900-$63,100. Normal Hiring Range: $41,900-$47,200.
