Position Summary

The Daniels College of Business has openings for adjunct professors (part-time, non-benefitted instructors) to teach beginning in the fall quarter 2018. The college maintains a pool of qualified adjunct instructors who may be hired to teach individual lecture courses in such fields as Marketing, Accounting, Management, Finance, Business Ethics and Legal Studies, Hospitality Management, Business Information and Analytics, Real Estate and Construction Management, MBA@Denver, Executive MBA and the Executive MBA. Teaching responsibilities may include both undergraduate and graduate level courses using traditional, hybrid and online delivery methods. Teaching responsibilities may involve day, night and weekend classes.

For non-benefited job postings: This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

Adjunct professors work under the direction of the Department Chair and are responsible for conducting all scheduled classes and/or labs in accordance with the mission of the college and objectives of the course. Adjunct professors in charge of lecture courses are required to prepare and deliver lectures, assignments, and exams as well as assess and grade student work.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters or terminal degree and/or extensive professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal Degree.
  • Teaching experience.
