Position Summary

The Josef Korbel School of International Studies (JKSIS) at the University of Denver is an interdisciplinary professional school of international studies that prepares students for careers in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Our program provides students with the knowledge, skills and networks to design policies implement programs and realize outcomes which enhance human capabilities around the world.

This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

Primary Responsibilities

  • Project manage website overhaul on behalf of JKSIS.
  • Work with JKSIS leadership and internal marcomm team to determine website structure, UX, metrics, content, and assets.
  • Identify key deliverables and deadlines, and create master calendar of project.
  • Create and manage JKSIS website committee.
  • Drive meeting schedule with central marcomms.
  • Manage content collection, copy editing, and image collection.
  • QA website with central marcomm team.
  • Learn the ins and outs of updating and editing the website, and create a process for JKSIS faculty and staff to request changes.
  • Determine relevant metrics, and create a tracking system to capture them.
  • Train internal comms manager and other relevant parties on website backend and updating process in handoff.
  • Supervise student workers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with content management software and/or web products
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of web site development processes and project management
  • Strong communication skills - able to simplify and explain highly technical concepts to non-technical partners
  • Demonstrated commitment to deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to break down complex process into assignable tasks and steps
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in project management.
  • Strong grasp of UX/UI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • QA experience.

Work Schedule

  • Part-time, 20 hours per week.
