Advertised Job Summary: To serve as a Post-Doctoral Fellow under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) conducting research on projects as a result of funding provided by NIH grants. Research will be aimed at examining the epigenomic and microbiomic effects of plant products such as resveratrol, indoles and cannabinoids on inflammation, autoimmunity and cancer. Other projects include studies on the role of CD44, estrogens and dioxins on immune response. Advises principal investigators, students, and other laboratory personnel on current methods, ongoing experiments, and future research directions. Maintains accurate and detailed records of laboratory experiments and presents these in informal laboratory discussions, group meetings, formal symposia, and publications. Assists in training other individuals including students in the laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Requires a Ph.D. in any biomedical sciences including Immunology, Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or other related discipline.
