Nursing Lab and Simulation Coordinator (grant funded and part time)
In collaboration with nursing faculty and under the direction of the Dean and Nursing Program Administrator, the nursing lab and simulation coordinator promotes and coordinates lab and simulation activities for the MVCC Nursing Program and assist with Basic Nursing Assistant Training (BNAT). The nursing lab and simulation coordinator is responsible for working with nursing faculty to integrate simulation into the learning strategies and assessment processes of the curriculum to support student achievement of course and program learning outcomes. Additional responsibility includes supervision of the adjunct nursing laboratory personnel and BNAT inventory. The nursing lab and simulation coordinator is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) required. A minimum of two years clinical and/or teaching experience preferred. Current, unencumbered IL RN license. Current, AHA CPR for the Healthcare Provider.
Establishes practices and procedures for simulation and laboratory activities that provide for effective learning experiences, safe practice and are in accordance with program policies, course objectives and program outcomes; provides supervision and training for all adjunct lab staff including student tutors for the nursing laboratory; collaborates with nursing faculty to coordinate and develop simulation scenarios that support student achievement of nursing program and course learning outcomes; assists faculty in the instruction of students to meet course objectives through utilization of the Human Patient Simulation and skills validations; plus other duties as assigned.
25 hours per week – hours to be determined.
Minimum Starting Rate $26.07 per hour
