Program Director, Graduate Programs in Nurse Anesthesia
Texas Wesleyan University seeks a Program Director for the Graduate Programs of Nurse Anesthesia.
The Graduate Programs include the current master’s-level entry level program and the practice doctorate completion program. The last cohort of master’s students will be admitted in 2018 and the practice doctorate program launches in 2019 (pending approval by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs).
Both programs generously incorporate distance education. The entry level program has sites in many states including Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, North Dakota, Ohio, and Texas. The size of the didactic faculty is growing with the launching of the practice doctorate program.
The successful candidate is a doctorally prepared CRNA with at least 5 years of nurse anesthesia academic experience with eligibility for a non-restricted license as an APRN CRNA in Texas. Strong leadership, management, and fiscal skills are strongly desirable as well as experience with specialty and regional accreditation. This is an administrative position with minimal teaching responsibilities.
