Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Athletics the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student Athlete Health, Well Being and Program Outreach provides counsel and advice on social and political issues as they relate to intercollegiate athletics at the university and national levels. Provides programmatic direction for leadership development, mentoring and support of athletics. Responsible for the overall administration of designated operating units and designated sport programs. Manages special projects and represents the Director of Athletics, as assigned. Abide by all UNC, ACC and NCAA regulations.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study required. Masters preferred. All degrees must be from an appropriately accredited institution.

Qualification and Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience counseling athletes and developing educational programs for athletes, with responsibilities of a senior level administrator. Demonstrated ability to serve as a subject matter expert for new topics, with experience in design and delivery of educational sessions for current and former student athletes, coaches, executives and administrators. Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is required. Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and supervisory skills.
