Job description

Duties: Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Associate Director is responsible for supervising the development of a robust event planning and management function across the McNulty Leadership Program, the Lipman Family Prize and the Center for Change Management and Leadership, which includes training, mentoring, and supervising an event manager. This position is also responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining an organization-wide strategy and approach for data collection, analysis and reporting; for developing a centralized core planning function, building internal infrastructure, and establishing standard operating processes and shared procedures across the McNulty Leadership Program, the Lipman Family Prize and the Center for Change Management and Leadership. In addition, this position serves as the in-house technical resource and source of expertise for program technology and software, and evaluating and managing shared systems.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred, and 3-5 years progressively responsible professional experience in conference planning and/or events management required. Proven ability to organize and complete multiple, simultaneous tasks with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines. High level of professionalism and ability to build relationships with a diverse group of people. Strong management, planning, and organizational skills; exceptional attention to detail. Able to identify opportunities and implement new methods and systems to enhance department capabilities; ability to shift focus and problem solve. Ability to travel occasionally, and work evenings and weekends. High standards of quality and focus on guest experience; strong customer-service orientation. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively
