UCR Extension is seeking a dynamic Custom Programs Manager who will coordinate and execute programs in a growing, self-support department that develops and delivers a broad range of workforce development, professional training, and learning opportunities that are tailored to meet the specific needs of US and international clients. Utilizing project management, marketing, and excellent communication skills, the Custom Programs Manager will coordinate and communicate to internal and external stakeholders to include students, instructors, staff, business community, and the general public. Additionally, the position will execute group programs that meet the client's time frame, learning objectives, and content expectations. Under the direction of the Director of Custom Programs, the position drives project management, secures contracts, and achieves established department targets. UCR Extension provides professional programs and continuing education in the areas of business, science, technology, education, healthcare, law, and arts for both business and education clientele. Program offerings include on-site, off-site, and online delivery. UCR Extension is restructuring to streamline operations and position for program growth. The Custom Programs Manager will serve as a key position during the transition and beyond as it contributes to, develops, and manages sustainable strategies for the long-term success of custom programs. As UCR Extension is comprised of self-supporting programs dependent upon enrollment, this position has a significant impact on revenue generation and sustainability and has responsibility for both identifying and managing new and existing opportunities for program growth.

Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments; i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
Knowledge of managing a portfolio of business and management courses at the university or corporate level.
Thorough skills to conduct needs assessment and development of new presentations/courses to meet organizational needs.
Thorough and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills.
Ability to organize and manage complex projects including prioritizing, multi-tasking and tracking information while ensuring accuracy.
Ability to work with a wide range of people from diverse cultural backgrounds, including those holding senior positions. Ability to speak with and listen perceptively to persons of various international backgrounds.
Ability to anticipate the needs of and respond to situations with flexibility and interact with a professional and welcoming demeanor to clients and staff.
Ability to adapt to changing business needs, conditions and work responsibilities in a high volume environment. Ability to respond and remain flexible around changing priorities, fluctuating workloads and constant succession of inquiries.
