Job Summary/Basic Function:
Position Description:
Under general direction coordinate daily activities associated with adherence to applicable laws, regulations, rules and policies in regards to university research. Processing, review, tracking of compliance related application and disclosure documents. Coordinate a unified program of compliance for all research at the University. Coordinate federally mandated compliance in research areas including Responsible Conduct of Research certification, human subjects' protection, conflict of interest, and export control, in research-active faculty, staff and students [RSP1] at the University. Provides assistance and support to faculty and staff regarding guidelines and regulations governing research grants. Reviews grant expenditures. Coordinates required time and effort reports. Other duties as assigned within the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs Administration including post award accounting.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business or related field or three years’ experience in Sponsored Programs Administration compliance and business administration.

Experience:
1 year’s work-related experience in Sponsored Programs Administration, compliance accounting and/or business administration

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, website content construction, communication and basic statistical operations

Skills and Abilities to:
• Organizational and planning skills
• Create, compose, and edit basic, routine and complex written materials.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
• Liability issues related to program regulatory compliance preferred
• Applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations preferred
• Customer Service standards and procedures preferred
• Relevant University policies and procedures preferred
• Experience in Cayuse IRB Module, preferred
• Experience in Banner, preferred
