POSITION: Choral Director
APPOINTMENT: Limited Term Instructor, 10-month, effective August 1, 2018. University System of Georgia policy requires the completion of a background check as a prior condition of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Director of Choirs by directing one choir and engage in recruiting activities. Teach Aural Skills and Music Appreciation. Other duties and teaching will be assigned according to departmental needs, and will be selected from: Choral Methods and Materials, Supervision of Student Teaching, Keyboard Skills, String Methods, or other assignments according to the experience and expertise of the successful candidate.
QUALIFICATIONS: Masters required, doctorate or ABD preferred. Public school choral teaching experience and strong keyboard skills preferred. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in choral directing and recruiting, excellent musicianship and organizational skills, and the desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.
RANK AND SALARY: Limited Term Instructor; $40,200 plus benefits
