Clinical Practice Development Coordinator

Position Summary

This position serves as manager of Clinical Practice Development Coordinator responsible for supporting the growth of the clinical practices of the College of Human Medicine (CHM).  Emphasis will be on both existing and new practice models including population health and telemedicine.  Given the non-traditional nature of the anticipated projects, the manager will be expected to have excellent relationship savvy, visionary communications and disciplined pipeline management.  Early milestones and deliverables include the creation of materials/collateral to describe the new practice model opportunities and of the contacts/pipeline of interested and qualified potential partners. Responsibilities include preparing and facilitating meetings to increase awareness of CHM healthcare providers and practices; establishing and maintaining key relationships with relevant stakeholders; and performing other marketing and general administrative duties in support of the Office of Clinical Affairs.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations or related field; experience in database management, spreadsheet and word processing software applications, and webpage maintenance; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in sales, advertising and marketing strategies, and departmental operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, science or a related field; minimum of 5 years’ field experience in medical, scientific or other related sales; demonstrated relationship-building and sales skills; strong critical thinking and influence skills; excellent verbal and written communication, presentation  and interpersonal skills; experience nurturing business and/or community partnerships and entrepreneurial ventures.

Work Hours

8:00am to 5:00pm; This position may include some evenings and weekends.

Description of End Date

This is an off dated position funded for one year from the date of hire with possible extension contingent upon funding renewal.
