Brief Summary of Work for this Position:
This position provides administrative support to the Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences including purchases, travel, reconciles budgets and cash, maintains departmental records, enters the course schedule into banner, and reserves space.
N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:
Must have excellent customer service skills
Must possess basic knowledge of accounting principles and have the ability to maintain detailed budget spreadsheets
Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office software products, to include Word, Excel, and Outlook
Must have strong organizational skills, with an ability to assess priorities and multi-task
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred education, professional skills and experience:
Proficiency with the following: Banner Finance, Banner Student, SSRS, PACS Reconciliation, ChromeRiver, AiM, Area Access Manager, SEAPrint, Surplus Property, SeaNet, Next Gen, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and SeaWork preferred
Recruitment Range: $31,200 - $34,194
NC Salary Grade Equivalency: 59
Hours Per Week: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
Months Per Year: 12 Months
Work Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8:00AM – 5:00PM
