Opportunity to provide strategic thought leadership, develop results-driven plans and establish actionable objectives to develop cohesive, targeted marketing strategies for Kent State University. Directs marketing strategy teams in the development and execution of short and long term plans designed to elevate the perception, reputation and national standing of the university.  This position leads initiatives designed to increase enrollment and retention, engage alumni participation and giving, and inspires advocacy of the university among a variety of constituencies. This position requires a creative, goal-oriented professional skilled in managing digital marketing campaigns, developing innovative ideas and performing market research/analysis.  Reports to Senior Vice President for Strategic Communications and External Affairs.


Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or related field. Ten years of experience in a marketing and communications environment in relevant public or private sectors, preferably higher education. Master’s degree in relevant field preferred.
