Duties: The position will conduct research and provide technical support to several projects studying auditory brain function using electrophysiological and behavioral methods in awake and anesthetized rodents. The position requires expertise in neuroscience. Responsibilities include: maintaining a mouse colony, genotyping, behavioral training, histology, analysis of electrophysiological recording data, organize and maintain laboratory logs and databases, immunohistochemistry of brain tissue, laboratory maintenance, cell harvest and culture. Ability to keep accurate records and excellent organizational skills are essential. The position will be split between the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia VAMC. Approximately 25% of time will be spent at the VAMC.

Qualifications: The minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required; 1-2 years working in a neuroscience or biomedical research laboratory is preferred
