Posting Summary:
The Robert M. Berne Cardiovascular Research Center (CVRC) at the University of Virginia is seeking a PhD-trained Research Associate with experience in the area of clonal hematopoiesis. The work will require that the incumbent display significant knowledge concerning genome instability including an understanding of the literature in the areas of hematopoiesis and cardiometabolic disease. Additionally, the position requires experience in cell biology, transgenic mouse models of disease, molecular biology, and phenotypic analyses.

Candidate must demonstrate a high competency in a wide range of murine procedures and molecular biology techniques including PCR, qRT-PCR, gene cloning, cell culture, flow cytometry and protein analysis (western blot and ELISA).

Applicants must have a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree by the start date as well as excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present experimental results.

Eligibility for NIH post-doctoral fellowship funding is helpful, but not mandatory.
