Senior Financial Analyst

This position is only available to current UCI employees.

Under minimal supervision/direction from the Director of Finance, the incumbent serves as Senior Financial Analyst for the Paul Merage School of Business. Independently provides analytical and financial management services to develop budgets, prepare reports, perform trend analysis and projections, forecast expenses, review financial transactions, and train staff. Position requires skill to provide financial interpretation, clarification and procedural guidance to faculty, staff, students, vendors, and upper management. Manage account activities by overseeing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, performing journal entries and fund transfers, and ensuring that adequate records are kept for audit purposes. Incumbent serves as primary Contracts and Grants officer (approx. $2-$5 million) providing management of detailed reviews of contract and grant related proposals, training, and pre-and post-award administration. Provides specific direction to faculty and staff to assure compliance with contract and grant costing principals and uniform guidance. Responsibilities require a thorough understanding of complex federal and private contracts, University policies, procedures, and resources, to execute financial projects involving problem resolution, collection of data, systems analysis, and production of comprehensive reports.

Salary: Annual $59,623.00 - $70,346.00
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
