Job Summary:

The IdM Developer position, a full-time, university staff (non-classified), provides support of existing infrastructure as well as hands on development and integration efforts with current Identity and Access Management solution.

This position is that of an independent worker and would receive assignments and direction during weekly interaction with the Program Manager for IdM and other senior staff within the group.

This position will be located on the Denver Campus but will work closely with the University of Colorado, Colorado Spring Campus.

Examples of Work Performed:
  • Implementation of IdM Developer tools for provisioning user access. Work with operational team in specifying technical requirements for access in idM and ensure the correct architecture/design is implemented for the business process.
  • Customization of IdM Developer product functionality to fulfill requirements that cannot be met with standard out-of the-box functionality. Typical toolset would include Java, PL/SQL & SOA.
  • Interact with various campus business units that need to automate processes, gather requirements, design and deliver solution that integrates with IdM implementation.
  • Create and maintain documentation for IdM related activities and metric reporting.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Oracle applications and internal systems as identified by supervisor.
  • Perform user design of Oracle-based systems in mockups, prototyping, implementation and deployment. Steps would include wireframes, screen-flow diagrams and requirements documentation, written test plans, peer-code reviews and user acceptance testing.
  • Develop database-driven web interfaces for rapid, real-time information sharing.
  • Participate in full software life-cycle; requirements gathering and customer interface, coordination with software architects and engineers in system design, implementation and testing, customer signoff, on-going support and maintenance.
  • Perform back-end coding using PHP, XML, SQL, Oracle SOA Suite, Java.
  • And various other duties or tasks as assigned and/or needed.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at $62,000 to $72,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience.This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher required in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of back-end programming coding (PHP, XML, SQL, Java, C#.Net) and understanding of front-end coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) in application development and/ integration
  • Substitution: Work experience in the Information Technology field may be substituted for the educational experience on a year-for-year basis.

Conditions of Employment:

Must be willing and able to travel between campuses (Denver Campus, Anschutz Medical Campus, Colorado Springs Campus)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2- 3 years of experience in application development and/ integration.
  • Operational IT experience within a structured environment with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity.
  • Experience with enterprise solution implementation of Oracle Fusion Middleware using OIM software.
  • 3+ years Java development experience, and a good understanding of XML concepts.
  • 2+ years of experience with LDAP directory; preferably development experience with Oracle Directory Products.
  • 2 or more years' experience with web application development components such as
  • Java, SOA Suite, Web Services, JDBC, etc.; in addition to, performance tuning, configuration, support, and troubleshooting web applications on a tiered architecture.
  • Experience using PL/SQL or SQL query tools.
  • Experience with development against an Oracle back end.
  • 2 years of configuration and customer development experience in IdM Developer.
  • Specific experience with connectors, reconciliation, and request workflows, approval workflows, manual and automated provisioning workflows, reporting and analytics.
  • Experience gathering, documenting and validating business requirements.
  • 1 to 2 years software development or systems integration experience.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 2+ years experience with Oracle Identity Manger, development and integration; understanding of business processes associated with user management lifecycle and ability to design and implement workflow rule-based provisioning solutions to meet complex business requirements.
  • 2+ years experience with LDAP directory; preferable development experience with Oracle Internet Directory.
  • 2+ years J2EE development and deployment on BEA WebLogic, and a good understanding of XML concepts; as well as foundational security infrastructure concepts across operating systems, networking, and tiered architectures.
  • Must have 4 years experience with web application development using J2EE components such as Java, SOA Suite, Web Services, JDBC, etc., ; in addition to, performance tuning, configuration, support, and troubleshooting web applications on a tiered architecture.
  • 3+ years experience and familiarity with most of the following: Microsoft NT/2000/2003 and Active Directory, Apache, Oracle Database, Linux,
  • Ability to work with different teams and interact with technical and business folks across the enterprise.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled at determining & documenting requirements and technical alternatives
  • Deliver documented strategy, recommendations, roadmap (high-level project plan with milestones), cost estimates, business case, supporting presentations as required.
  • Has knowledge of RDMS systems Oracle / MySQL.
  • Has knowledge of Web Services including Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Software as a Service (SAAS), Infrastructure as a Services (IAAS), Oracle SOA Suite
  • Has 3 to 5 years software development experience
