Degree and Area of Specialization:
Master's Degree required; agriculturally relevant discipline is preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
-5+ years of international related experience preferred
-Excellent, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
-Ability to work with international and non-native English-speaking and culturally diverse individuals and groups
-Experience in writing grants, preparing budgets, and project management is preferred
License or certificate:
The Assistant Director position is a multi-functional position housed within CALS Global at the UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) and supports the Director in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities; writing grants; liaising with individuals and groups in the College; University; state, federal, and international agencies; and non-profits; hosting and facilitating visits of international entities; managing funds; overseeing daily operations, etc.
Must be willing and able to travel internationally
