Job Description
The Dining Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Retail Dining Cash Office Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Strong math skills with accuracy in cash counting and great organization skills to help run our busy cash office.
* Reliable and trustworthy due to the nature of the position.
* Good communication skills in order to instruct cashiers on cash handling policies and procedures.
* Responsible for assisting in verifying/rebuilding cash banks.
* Preparing cash deposits and assisting in the daily operation of the cash office.
* Must be able to focus in a fast paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

High school diploma and two years experience with cash handling; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, or training. The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required:

* Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions.
* Ability to maintain records and complete forms accurately.
* Ability to apply mathematical concepts to complete tasks (example: totaling balance sheets).
* Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Strong cash handling experience.
