I. JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description Summary:

The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) Dean's Office is seeking an Administrative Associate to support multiple senior leaders within SMHS in providing administrative support including: scheduling meetings, preparing minutes, maintaining calendars, processing and researching informational requests, and handling logistics related to larger and off-site meetings.

Reporting directly to the Administrative Manager, primary responsibilities include:

Prepares and researches documentation for meetings and projects for multiple senior leaders. Supports projects through research, data gathering, analysis and formatting; prepares documents for final distribution.

Schedules meetings including: reviewing calendars to check for document preparation and overlap, preparing SMHS forms for meetings and classroom with equipment functionality, and preparing expense forms in compliance with the SMHS guidelines.

Acts as a liaison between departments or agencies, participates in group meetings with contributing centers and funding agencies to solve problems, report findings, and facilitate workflow.

Collects, gathers, proofs, and enters data for the final submission of the LCME DCI in proofing iterations and verifying data prior to entry.

Handles inquires and requests independently within established procedures.

Assists colleagues with the completion of projects to meet deadlines.

Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Experience providing administrative support to executive management.

Excellent customer service, organizational and quantitative skills, written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail.

Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of MS Office Suite
