Residential Education Director Associate

Job description

Associate Director of Residence Life, Director of Residential Education reports to the Director of Residence Life and is responsible for ensuring all staff support and administer a residential curriculum that support students' academic success, personal development, and wellness. The Associate Director has oversight of academic initiatives, curriculum development, and assessment for the department. The position is responsible for developing meaningful learning outcomes/objectives that support the department, the broader Division of Student and Academic Life, and University Strategic Plan. The Associate Director has direct supervision of three Assistant Directors who functional areas all support residential education: student development, student conduct, and residential curriculum. The Associate Director serves on-call, is part of the departmental leadership team, and is vital in establishing a vision for residential education for the department.

Physical Requirements

Lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 25 lbs; and sitting for long periods of time.


Primarily days (Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.), with some evenings and weekends as required.


MS Access, MS Office (word, PowerPoint), and Database Management.

Preferred Education/Experience

Ph.D. in Higher Education or Student Affairs or terminal degree in related field.
