PCC Sponsored Programs


Responsible for assisting the Director with management, administration, and coordination of all Distance Learning programs on the Panama City Campus; assists in Distance Learning budget development, preparation and oversight; responsible for Distance Learning course and schedule creation; assists Distance Learning students with course placement, rate information, and academics.

Responsible for assisting the Director with PCC Sponsored Programs management, administration and coordination; assists in the creation of PCC Sponsored Research Project budgets; provides guidance and direction to staff involved in budgetary activities involving sponsored research and distance learning.

Responsible for providing oversight and guidance and direction to staff for appointments for all adjuncts and mentors; reviews and approves time and leave for the department; provides oversight of all purchasing activities for the department; reviews and approves all travel; reviews inventory and property management records to ensure compliance.

Assists the Director in strategic planning, and recommends process improvement; supervises the Administrative Specialist and OPS staff; serves as Acting Director as needed; other duties as needed.


Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to administrative services; or a high school diploma or equivalency and six years related to administrative services.

(Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)

Knowledge of the practices and procedures of budgeting activities and cost control measures.

Knowledge of the principle of management, project planning, and process evaluation.

Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions including Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to train and supervise employees.

Ability to gather, interpret, and report information.


Master's degree and experience related to an administrative service.

Anticipated Salary Range

Department expects salary to be in the low to mid $50,000 range; salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Soft Money Funded Position

This position is time-limited based on soft money funding, with renewal contingent upon available funds and the needs of the University.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
