The Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) Team has an immediate opening for a Business Systems Analyst on the Coral Gables Campus. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the overall configuration of Workday HR including business processes, tenant management, mass data updates, and management of defect/issues with the Workday HR application. The incumbent is involved in planning, organizing and conducting detailed management analytical studies to define problems, identify deficiencies and improve solutions, which impacts the enterprise’s effectiveness, and provides the basis for management decision. The analyst also serves as a liaison to Workday for training, communication, functionality, and upgrades.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

Manages the solution and implementation of business solutions. Partners with business users to gather all requirements to formulate business specifications and translate those into application and operational requirements. Investigates and analyzes current functionality to identify data integrity issues and misalignments with existing business services policies and procedures. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates processes, systems, and user needs for planned projects based on the business plan of the enterprise. Works with the Integrations team in translating application functionality into application architecture and the production of a business functionality requirements statement. Researches and configures solutions, identifies issues, and approves system enhancements. Designs, executes, and manages test plans, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are implemented properly and meet the requirements of the enterprise. Documents workflows and results of business analysis and obtains sign-off from users on specifications. Works with communication and end-user support teams to develop necessary training materials, communication plans, and post-implementation support. Maintains current knowledge of new hardware and software and recommends upgrading to maintain efficient operation. Understands the long-term business objectives and suggest strategies to meet those objectives; introducing innovation to business processes through technology if appropriate. Conducts meetings on all levels of management for purposes of presentations, reviews, approvals of recommendations, etc.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, business administration, operations engineering or related field. Master’s Degree desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Two years of system administration or systems procedures analysis related experience.
  • Payroll and project management experience is a plus.
  • Any appropriate combination of education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Experience in areas of operations engineering (i.e. work simplification, work measurement techniques/skills).
  • Experience in the ERP environment and tool utilized within the enterprise.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
  • Knowledge of Workday HR or ERP HR is a plus.
