Responsibilities and expectations include:
Retain existing members and obtain new donors to meet defined revenue goals for the program
Coordinate planning and implementation of semiannual on-air membership campaigns in cooperation with station staff. Coordinate activities pertaining to the annual
membership campaigns and following up on customer and member questions and issues.
Develop and implement procedures to engage and steward members and volunteers
Create and deliver communication materials for members and the public including print, electronic and high quality audio material
Create and maintain member and volunteer records and customer service history; maintain donor confidentiality
Gather data, analyze cost and labor efficiencies and recommend improvements in procedures
Assist with: strategic development of the program; and program policies and procedures
Order and mail thank-you gifts related to fundraising; oversee mailing of thank-you letters for all gifts
Manage Sustaining Member program: proactively collect current credit card information as needed; process annual premiums, send anniversary notices and other notification letters, make changes to donor giving as requested
Manage monthly renewal and reminder mailings, enlisting volunteer help
Assist with events as needed
Be proficient in the donor database (Allegiance): create reports and analysis proactively Includes but is not limited to:
The coding of member accounts in Allegiance with affinities; biographical info, mailing history and favorite programs;
regular uploading of new, segmented email addresses into Constant Contact; ongoing segmentation of the database (organize and export the data) for the purposes of additional gift and lapsed member direct mail campaigns, in accordance with the annual communications strategy established by Development Director; maintain database of all WERS volunteers; assist with audit and reconciliation requests related to membership data; assist with prospect research, cultivation, solicitation, and acquisition of contributions from individuals, businesses, and organizations, including but not limited to: foundation grants, high level gifts, planned gifts, and in-kind support.
Supervise support staff and a wide variety of volunteers.
