Department Overview
The Office of Disability Access (ODA) at the University of North Texas exists to prevent discrimination on the basis of disability and to help students reach a higher level of independence.

Job Description
The Office of Disability Access at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Student & Program Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Assist in managing the Test Center day to day operations in the Office of Disability Access.
* Keep accurate and timely records and statistics on the exams administered each semester, accommodations requested, total number rendered, and occurrences of irregularities.
* Communicate effectively and diplomatically with faculty, staff, and students in addressing ODA testing guidelines, and accommodation procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

Associate's Degree and two years of office administration experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service.
* Demonstrated skill in verbal and written communications.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
* Ability handle multiple priorities.
* Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Ability to multi-task in a high traffic area with constant interruptions, and ability to think critically and logically to solve problems as they arise.
* Detail oriented, organized, reliable and flexible with broad technical skills using various software and hardware including assistive technology.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse population.
* Skill and ability to operate standard office equipment such as PC, fax, copier, printers and multi-line phone, and have excellent skills in written and verbal communication.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent with two or more years of supervisory experience.
