JOB DETAILS:

POSITION: A part-time, instructional academic staff position is available in the Department of Chemistry with an emphasis in general chemistry for the 2018-2019 academic year beginning August 20, 2018. The official title Lecturer. This is a one-semester appointment with salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS: A master’s degree in chemistry or related field is required from a regionally accredited institution. The following will be considered assets: evidence of successful teaching at the collegiate level; demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.

DUTIES: Teach up to 12 contact hours per week of general chemistry labs.

THE UNIT: The Department of Chemistry at UW-Eau Claire has 16 full-time faculty members and is ACS-certified. The department has a mission of providing high-quality undergraduate instruction in the chemical sciences through a combination of coursework and collaborative research. The Department of Chemistry emphasizes first-rate classroom teaching at all levels, along with undergraduate research activities that result in peer-reviewed presentations and publications.
