General Summary: The Communication, Media & Journalism Department of the University of North Georgia seeks a Lecturer in Public Relations to teach primarily on the Gainesville campus. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Film & Digital Media and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, as well as associate pathways toward these degree programs. The department seeks candidates who are qualified to teach a range of public relations and communications courses.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Teaching public relations and communication courses as assigned
  • Communicating with departmental colleagues regarding choice of text, common assignments, and standardized rubrics and grading
  • Reporting grades in a timely manner
  • Following all guidelines in the UNG Faculty Handbook.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of eighteen hours of graduate coursework in public relations, communication, or a related field are required.
  • A master of arts, or the equivalent in professional experience, is preferred.
