Affiliated (Part-Time) Faculty Member: Honors Program

Description:
The Honors Program at Emerson College is seeking an affiliated faculty member to teach in the program during the Fall 2018-Spring 2019 academic year (September 5-December 20, 2018 and January 14-May 3, 2019). The available position is co-teaching one year-long course offered to first-year students in the Honors Program.

Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:
HS 101 First-Year Honors Seminar 1 is offered during the fall term, and the second half of the class HS 102 First-Year Honors Seminar 2 is offered during the spring term along with the Honors Writing Symposium. The two-semester class focuses on Literature and Culture of the Americas. The course is capped at 20 students, and incoming Honors students are the top students in the College, highly motivated and willing to work hard. The other instructor of the course is an excellent and experienced teacher in the Honors program.

Preference for a graduate with a terminal degree, but we welcome applications from graduate students who are ABD. Previous teaching experience is required, and the position is renewable.
